What this server is built from, and who wrote it.

Almost nothing here was written from scratch. This page lists what the server and this site are built from, and the licence each part is used under.

The gamemode

The roleplay gamemode is SP-RP by Dignity, released under the BSD 3-Clause licence. It ran Streetz of Los Santos from 2018 to 2021 and GTA Chronicles until 2023 before being opened up. The work in our copy is maintenance and new development on top of it.

The licence requires its copyright notice be reproduced, so:

Copyright (c) 2024, Dignity. All rights reserved.
Redistribution and use in source and binary forms, with or without modification, are permitted provided that the conditions of the BSD 3-Clause licence are met. This software is provided by the copyright holders and contributors "as is" and any express or implied warranties are disclaimed. Full licence text.

The control panel

This website and the account system behind it are built on SPRP-UCP by rzrusu, a Laravel control panel written for this gamemode.

The world

Project Eagle is the total conversion the server runs on. Every model, texture and object placement in the game and on both maps is their work. It is used with their permission.

Stars & Stripes Multiplayer is Project Eagle's own multiplayer component, and the reason multiplayer use of the conversion is supported at all. The server itself does not run it — see below — but the project is credited here because the map and the client both come out of that work.

The server

open.mp is the multiplayer server the game connects to, and the runtime the gamemode is compiled against.

Plugins and libraries

The gamemode is compiled against the following. Each is used under its own licence.

The 3D map

The map viewer is built with three.js (MIT). The tiles are built from Project Eagle's own model, texture and placement files by tooling written for this project.

Trademarks

Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are trademarks of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. Singleplayer Roleplay is an unofficial, non-commercial fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive or any of their subsidiaries.
